Ginning
Ginning is the mechanical process of cleaning and separating the seed from the lint fibres. The cotton lint is pressed into 227kg bales for export to mill customers, whilst the cotton seed is packed in bulk for supply to domestic and international customers.
AFF cotton gins process cotton harvested from our own farms, as well as cotton from our grower customers.
AFF operates cotton ginning facilities in the MacIntyre, Gwydir, Namoi, Macquarie and Murrumbidgee Valleys of New South Wales.
AFF continue to invest in their cotton gins to ensure that they maintain quality, whilst maximising yield.
