Our Narrabri team had plenty to celebrate at the Lower Namoi Cotton Growers Association’s awards and golf day on Friday, with some fantastic results from last season recognised.
AFF farm Appletrees received the award for highest yield over 250 hectares, and the team at Bunderoo Farms, who have been loyal ginning customers of ours, took out highest dryland yield.
Our Narrabri Farm Manager, Paul Flewitt was named overall Grower of the Year, with him and his team being recognised for their excellent production results but also the extensive work they`ve conducted with researchers and scientists on disease, soil health and sustainability.
It was especially meaningful to see the late Vic Melbourne honoured with a Service to Industry Award. Vic’s award was accepted by his grandson, Paul Lehmann.

At AFF, we’re proud to support mental health, particularly across rural and regional communities.
Through our partnership with @tamaauscotton , a portion of funds from every blue cotton wrap used on our bales is donated to the @beyondblueofficial Support Service. Last year, this contribution helped fund more than 1,000 contacts with the service, with each call costing $66 to provide.
It’s a reminder of just how important it is to make support available when people need it, but support can also start much closer to home.
