Quality Australian cotton

Australia is renowned for producing some of the highest quality cotton in the world and we are proud to play our part in the Australian cotton industry.

Our farming operations in the MacIntyre, Gwydir, Namoi, Macquarie and Murrumbidgee Valleys, and on the Darling River are where our commitment to producing the highest quality food and fibre for our customers begins.

Seasonal production

Our operations are led by a team of highly skilled professionals and supported by the use of modern and efficient equipment and the adoption of innovative practices.

Seasonal production on our farms begins each cotton season with soil preparation during the winter period, followed by planting in early spring.

The cotton is irrigated over the summer months, followed by picking season from March to June, and then from here, the cotton moves through to processing and distribution.

Innovation and improvement

AFF is dedicated to maintaining industry best practice and our farms are myBMP certified. We are a trusted partner of leading organisation in the industry.

We employ best management practice with our crops, researching and testing new innovative varieties, production techniques and irrigation scheduling to ensure that we maximise our returns from the resources we manage.

Farming for the future

As custodians of the land, adopting sustainable practices on our farms is important to us to ensure the future of our communities and our industry. Through the implementation of effective land stewardship, progress on water use efficiency and environmental protection, we take pride in our sustainable future.

Farming Australia’s commodities

Our farming focus is cotton production. AFF also produces cereals and pulses, including wheat, barley, canola, chickpeas and faba beans. Crop rotations assist in maintaining soil health and managing pests and diseases.
